China's air force J-10 fighters conduct air refueling

Air refueling is the process of transferring fuel from one aircraft to another during flight. Earlier in Nanjing, China's J-10 fighters conducted air refueling runs during a training exercise.

The tanker aircraft waits for other planes that need to refuel. With air-to-air refueling, pilots can extend their combat range and perform more complex missions.

For fighter pilots, fuel is a weapon. They can take off with less fuel, allowing them to carry more bombs for their mission.
